Precision Parking

One thing is for sure: in Tokyo parking space is not only at a premium horizontally, but also vertically. This Mercedes owner no doubt takes very good care of his or her tyre pressure:

I know of a truck parked about like that and I always point it out to others in shear admiration. They obviously NEVER drink and park ;)

Our Man has a secret underground bunker like the one you have pictured, but his Nissan Giant Panda is 2 inches too tall to fit in, so he has to rent a less secure location down the road.

Moral of the story: Every inch is important, ahem.

@Nitsy: I'm sure they plan their automobile egress with great attention to detail.

@Chris B: let's hope they never end up shearing anything off.

@ourmani: is there really a "Nissan Giant Panda"? One can never tell with Japanese domestic automobile names. We are talking about the same company which has given us the "Nissan Cedric" after all.

@Nitsy:
I'm sure they weren't in the vehicle at the time the photo was taken.

I could just see the owner at the auto dealership at time of purchase with the contractor's measuring tape going, "It's gonna be close..."
