More Rain

Evening rain over Shinjuku

This time in the early evening. Accompanied by lots of thundery dramatics, and I'm pretty sure Tokyo Tower was struck by lightning at one point. Not long after I took this picture the skyscrapers in the background disappeared completely, leaving me with the disconcerting impression that I was living in some remote provincial town.

Hey! I live in a remote provincial town!

But that is a nice view.

Thanks, it is a nice view and I was very happy to find it. Only fourth floor too, which no-one believes, but the building is on the edge of a sort of plateau, which falls away to the south.

Is it Sendai where you live? Anywhere with its own metro doesn't count as provincial. (I grew up in remote provincial towns and now refuse to live anywhere without its own subterranean transport system).
