A HOT Service From Paddington Bear

I was of the impression that in my childhood days I had read all the Paddington Bear books, but it seems there's at least one edition my parents kept from me, if this advertising poster from the Ôgaki Kyôritsu Bank (大垣共立銀行, link), seen in Gifu, is anything to go by.

Paddington Bear's HOT service

In it Paddington Bear is promising to offer "A HOT Service for You" (HOTなサービスをあなたに). Exact details are unclear, but I was able to observe customers entering and leaving the bank in a very furtive manner bearing large pots of marmalade.

Update (12.2007): interestingly, this article describes this lending institution as an "offbeat bank" which is "known for its quirky lending practices".
