Fascinating Facts about Hamamatsucho Station
The southern end of platform 3/4 is home to a copy of Manneken Pis (小便小僧, shoben kozō), a copy of the famous Brussels statue of a small boy doing what comes naturally. Created in 1952 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of railways in Japan, its clothing is changed monthly (an interval much to the liking of small boys, one would imagine) by members of a local craft circle.
Regular updates on the statue's sartorial situation are provided by Tokyo blogger Auberginefleur.
