Yes, it's that time of year when the air suddenly clears to reveal Mount Fuji in all its snow-capped finery:

Not that the streets of Tokyo are exactly troubled by the white stuff yet, but the transition between late summer and warm protective headgear has certainly taken place over the last week or so, and even cold-hardened individuals such as myself have been forced to don a light jacket in the evenings.
