Starting to feel at home...

After more than two years in Japan it is starting to feel just like the old country. Even the local supermarkets are becoming strangely familar, such as this one ...

Tesco in Tokyo, Japan

... currently in the process of opening just down the road from Penguin Heights - though the signage is still a bit exotic ...

Tesco in Tokyo, Japan - open 24 hours

Let's hoping let's hope they manage to get the interior signage spelt correctly.

That's amazing. I am sorry to say that nothing surprises me anymore in Japan.

Open 24 hours, eh? Now you can get a good can of baked beans even at 3am.

Goodness, you do live close to me, probably practically next door!

What's wrong with the spelling?

What's wrong with the spelling? Dunno about you, but where I come from (the same place as Tesco), I'd tend to label a section of shelving containing products derived from liquid squeezed out of a cow "dairy", not "daily".

Anyway, I don't think we're quite that close, I'm 1.5 sets of traffic lights east of that Tesco (which I still haven't actually visited...)

I basically live across the street, maybe a 3 min. walk. I haven't been to Tesco yet either. I tend to go to Sunkus (sp?) or Marusho.
